Our planet faces a climate emergency and we have less than a decade to act. Britain needs to take action, and fast. But we cannot tackle it alone.
Climate change is a global threat; we need to work with our international partners to find global solutions to the problem.
But Boris Johnson’s Brexit will remove our ability to shape European legislation and exert pressure on countries like China and the United States.
Furthermore, the next phase of negotiations will be a huge distraction, and prevent both parties from taking on the real issues at hand, like cutting carbon emissions and saving our oceans.
We cannot afford to ignore climate change any longer.
That’s why we need a People’s Vote on the Brexit deal.
A vote that - whatever the outcome – allows us to move on. Creating a lasting settlement so we can give climate emergency the attention it urgently needs.
